Celebrating Summer Solstice - June 21, 2025

Dear Friends and Supporters of Women Rising – Happy Summer Solstice

As Women Rising Legacy Project celebrates the Solstice, we are feeling the radiance of generosity from multiple sources.

• The sun has ensured a bountiful harvest at the end of the 2024-2025 season that is filling more bellies and providing more seeds to save.

• The women have started using the 6 Solar CooKits donated by Solar Cookers International. This is a thrilling step – allowing the women farmers to prepare meals using the sun’s energy and move away from the harmful charcoal firepits! Thank you, SCI! 

• Carol Anderson (our organizational guide) has gifted the Project with a computer that Kasuu took with her back to the DR Congo. Now, we can begin to document more activities and communicate more easily with Zoom.

 
We are also overjoyed to see the wells being dug! In just days, the farm and villages will have a safe water source right at home. Thank you to all our generous Supporters and Friends!
