A Thanksgiving Message - 2025

Dear Friends and Supporters of Women Rising Legacy Project – 

We hope this season finds you and yours in good health and we trust that you are finding peace and connection during this holiday weekend.

As we are called to focus a little more on gratitude at this time of year, we here at Women Rising have so much to be grateful for.  Above all - YOU!

Thank you for staying connected to us and for helping us grow the Project. With your help. the women’s dreams continue to blossom!  Because of your support, we were able to accomplish a tremendous amount this year. You helped us address core challenges, attract more funds, and prepare to grow the Farm! We hope you get as much of a thrill from this quick recap as we do:

• Solar Cookers International provided CooKits that the women farmers have been using - with the help of the sun’s energy - to prepare their meals.  

• Carol Anderson (our organizational advisor) gifted the Project with a computer which is allowing us to better document activities and eventually communicate more easily using web-based video platforms.

• The two new deep wells are providing clean, safe water to the Project and its circle of villages - right at the Farm. 

• A new donor helped us leverage additional funding that will allow the purchase of a third hectare of land so that we can serve even more women. Thank you, our generous new friend!

• The Mortenson Family Foundation has granted us vital operational funds and finally invited us to submit a proposal to its full-scale competitive grant process in the Spring. Thank you MFF!
